Aquaponics systems mimics the ecosystem, creating a closed-loop cycle composed of multiple living components. As nutrients and water cycle through, fish and plants thrive. While aquaponics is mostly being used in large scale production, this project focuses on a small scale. Biophilia is essential for human well-being, but more importantly, when people develop a connection with other living organisms, they are more likely to care for other species in nature.

Our process started with experimenting with different ways of creating a functioning system and caring for thesystem. For the final project, we focused on making all the components function at a minimal scale.
